The legendary Richard Clapton returns to his roots for a collection of classic 60s songs, on his new album Music Is Love (1966 –1970). It is Richard Clapton's first covers album in a career that has spanned almost 50 years.
The songs on Music Is Love (1966 –1970) are songs that defined an era, including Buffalo Springfield's 'For What It's Worth (Hey, What's That Sound)', Joni Mitchell's 'Woodstock', Neil Young's 'Southern Man', The Byrds' 'Eight Miles High', Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's 'Almost Cut My Hair', and The Youngblood's 'Get Together'.
Richard was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 1999 and into the Australian Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2010.
Richard's past hits include 'Girls On The Avenue' (#2 on the Australian chart), 'Deep Water', 'Capricorn Dancer', 'I Am An Island', 'The Best Years Of Our Lives', 'Lucky Country', and 'Glory Road'. His 1977 album Goodbye Tiger was #15 on the encyclopedia of The Best 100 Australian Albums.
Richard produced INXS' single 'The Loved One' and their album Underneath The Covers.
